The popular beauty spot of Dartmeet, at the centre of Dartmoor National Park is internationally important archaeologically.
Situated 4.5 miles east of two bridges, where the East and West Dart rivers meet, the road bridge, built in 1792 spans the East Dart, but the Clapper Bridge just above it is possibly mediaeval.
