The Great Ridge - Peak District Ultra Jump for Joy
To celebrate the Peak District’s 70th Birthday Bash - A PeakRunning.co.uk Event, I was asked to draw something for the winning runners as a prize.
I couldn’t resist a few local sheep mimicking jumping for joy - such fun.
Pictured here is the dominant Back Tor. This is quite the landmark between Mam Tor and Hollins Cross and Lose Hill, it’s a lovely ascent which forms part of the Edale Skyline and known as The Great RIdge locally nowadays.
A joyous run or walk it literally can put a spring in your step... and the sheeps.
